 What ages of children does your center accept? We accept children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.
What is your class size?We try to keep the teacher/child ratio lower than the state minimum. We use the following ratio: INFANTS: 6:1 TODDLER I: 9:1 TODDLER II: 7.5:1 THREE: 7.5:1 PRE-K: 9:1
Are your teachers certified?As in most childcare centers, teachers do not hold a teaching certificate. At our center we require all teachers that do not hold a college degree to enroll within six months (or the next semester) in an Early Childhood Program.
What type of curriculum do you use?We use a thematic unit curriculum. We incorporate this into our Reggio Emilia Program.
What is Reggio Emilia?Reggio Emilia is an early childhood program designed in Reggio Emilia, Italy. It became a well endorsed program that the city of Reggio Emilia gave city funding to support the program. More information can be found on the net.
Do you accept state vouchers?We do not accept state vouchers. We are a new center and at this time cannot accept vouchers. |
